Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 15: Himachal Day at Pinegrove set off to a lovely start. It was on this day in 1948 that Himachal Pradesh was created as a province of India. To mark the occasion the second edition of Shutters and Strokes, a breathtaking ensemble of students' work, was released at Pinegrove School, Dharampur. It sings of the beautiful avifauna of Himachal Pradesh captured forever across the grandeur of the Himalayan range within the lush twenty-five acre school campus right into the lens of the Grovian photographers. The pages of the publication appear like a canvas adorned with striking hues and intriguing messages of the talented artists of Pinegrove School.
The grand event took place in the presence of Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, Chief Advisor to Chancellor and Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences and Pro-Chancellor of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur. Jagjit Singh, a passionate Ornithologist, educationist by profession, author, illustrator and naturalist by heart and Ravindra Kumar Sharma an ardent Artist, Art Historian and Art Educationist, who have been the highly regarded mentors for Shutters and Strokes, also graced the occasion. The release of this amazing book is a heartfelt celebration and worthy tribute to Himachal Day.
