| BKS holds Dogri folk music program at RS Pura | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 6: In a series to hold folk music programs in rural areas, Bhartiya Kala Sangam today organised Dogri Folk Music program in R. S. Pura Tehsil in which local Singing parties participated with full zeal and zest to entertain the audience there and also to promote dogri culture and languages.
In this function, local audience as well as punches and Sarpanches were present to witness the program. While welcoming the august gathering and other guests, Vaishno Rani, President Bhartiya Kala Sangam, who is wholly solely Incharge of the club informed that Bhartiya Kala Sangam has been organizing various programmes since 1980 with regard to dogri Folk music, dance and felicitation events. She said that besides booking Artists from urban areas, the main thrust has been laid on new budding artists from rural and far flung areas to display their talent through BKS platform.
Tarseem Lal, concerned Sarpanch of the area lauded the enticing cultural programme manifesting Dogri Folk Music and urged the organizers of BKS to hold such programmes in other areas of R. S Pura Tehsil. He said that every logistic support shall be given to the Club to showcase the Dogra Culture
The artists who performed in the program were Nita Adarsh and Party, Kamala Devi and Party, Rita Rani and party.
The program was anchored by Shobhna Verma and vote of thanks presented by Sunil Sharma. |
