| Mayor distributes regularization orders to Safai Karamcharis | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 6: Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta today distributed regularization orders to seven Safai Karamcharis also known as Safai Sathis who are working determinedly in different wards of the city and have completed seven years of satisfactory services as SKCs.
Raj Kumar Chairman Public Health & Sanitation Committee JMC, Pankaj Gupta Joint Commissioner (A) and Dr. Vinod Sharma Health Officer JMC were also present on the occasion.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mayor said that the Safai Sathis are the backbone of JMC and plays an important role in keeping the Jammu City neat, clean and green city.
He further said that JMC is also committed to provide best possible facilities for these Safai Sathis by way of providing separate uniforms for winter as well as summer seasons, granting 2 ½ days salary for working during holidays, their timely regularization as well as other allied activities in order to raise their boost & morale so that they can perform their duty with more zeal and zest.
Mayor also extended gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for granting administrative approval to the much awaited proposal of reorganization of Jammu Municipal Corporation which will help a lot to make JMC more effective, efficient and result oriented.
He also said that after the establishment of integrated solid Waste Management Plant at Municipal land at Bandhu-Rakh Jammu which will be commissioned on PPD mode, the much needed work of disposal of municipal solid waste in a scientific manner will be done and it will help 100% Household door to door garbage collection, 100% solid waste segregation in all the wards of Gandhi Nagar area which will also fulfill the guidelines of National Green Tribunal.
He further said that all the men and machinery which will got spared from Gandhi Nagar zone will be utilized for remaining two zones i.e. Zone I and Zone II. |
