| JSS Jammu’s peer educators host webinar on “Journey towards 21st century skills” | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 6: Recognizing the importance of youth as change maker and to reinforce positive behaviors, develop new recommended behaviors or to change risky behavior amongst the adolescents ; Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu’s peer educators hosted a webinar on the theme “Journey towards 21st Century Life Skills” in the benign presence of Trilok Singh Bisht, Principal DPS Gaziabad Vasundhra as chief guest and Dr Chand Trehan, CBSE Counselor J&K as guest of honor. The school had formally collaborated with CBSE and expressed India’s innovative initiative for adolescent peer educators and leadership programme in life skills, holistic health and wellbeing.
The peer educators elaborated the concept of adolescence and the significance of life skills for adolescence especially to cope with 21st century life skills taking case studies, stories, brainstorming questions , role playing which made the webinar quite interactive.
The students from classes 8th to 12th attended the webinar and were enthusiastically replying to the questions put forth by the peer educators.
The chief guest Trilok Singh Bisht appreciated the work of peer educators and applauded them for their excellent presentations and communication skills.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Chand Trehan, Counselor CBSE, also applauded the students and gave her perspective on positive thinking and how to ignite a spark pertaining to one’s potential by showcasing a heart touching video .
Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson extended warm greetings to the gathering and asserted that the school’s peer educators will play progressive role towards building a psycho-social paradigm in collaboration and coordination as perfect well being ambassadors .
The vote of thanks was extended by peer educator Anshika Panday. The whole programme was conducted under the guidance of the program coordinator Sarika Sharma (PGT Commerce). |
