Johal felicitates Major Ravi Chaudhary for receiving Shaurya Chakra

RAMGARH, May 15: State President of Sir Chhotu Ram Jat Sabha and DDC member Sarabjit Singh, Sarabjit Singh Johal on Sunday honored Major Ravi Kumar Chaudhary, who was recently awarded Shaurya Chakra by the President of India. Johal along with others members of the Sabha today visited the residence of Major Ravi Kumar Chaudhary and honoured him for being conferred with India’s third-highest peacetime gallantry award after the Ashok Chakra and Kirti Chakra. In his address, Sarabjit Singh said that Major Ravi Chaudhary has not only got the name of his society but the entire Union Territory written in golden letters. “We are proud of our police personnel who are doing commendable job in ensuring a safe and secure environment for the people of J&K, besides discharging their duties with determination and commitment during most challenging time", he said.
Johal appreciated Major Ravi Chaudhary for displaying unparalled courage and supreme leadership qualities during conduct of four successful operations, resulting in elimination of 13 terrorists. “We are proud that Major Ravi Chaudhary is from our Block Ramgarh. We wish Ravi Choudhary a bright future ahead,” he said.
The DDC Member said that the nation is indebted to the martyrs who have sacrificed everything for Maa Bharti and have given opportunity to the people of this nation to lead a life full of dignity and pride. He said that every single citizen owes so much towards the martyred cops that he or she cannot repay what they have showered for the country. He said that the diligence of security forces is an example from which people should get inspiration to serve the nation selflessly.
Johal said that it is the good luck of the country that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is steering the nation therefore they should play their part by showing strong resolve to develop it by whatever manner they can as every citizen owes an onus in the progress of the nation. He said that our forces have played an important role not only in security related matters but also in serious natural calamities by extending the hand of aid.
Among those who accompanied the DDC member include District President Amar Singh, Mandal President Vijaypur, Ajay Sharma, BDC Chairman Darshan Choudhary, BJP senior leader Shashi Pal Vaid, Yuva Morcha Mandal President Gurmeet Choudhary, Naib Sarpanch Parveen Choudhary, Kapil, Varinder and Parveen Sharma.
