Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presents mega cultural programme

JAMMU, May 17: To observe the world hypertension day & continuation to the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan & to promote Duggar Culture, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, Ministry of Social Justice and empowerment presented mega cultural programme at K.S Public School Muthi in its 331th Tuesday Series Dogri Musical Play "RAKAT CHAP".
A pledge was administered to more than 100 students and teachers by M.C. Kotwal , Secretary of BLSKs. A Certificate of honor by the Ministry of Social Justice was gives to the Principal of the host school by BLSKS. The programe was inaugurated by Chief Guest Seema Malhotra, Principal, K S Public School Muthi , Jammu.
The chief guest, said that World Hypertension Day is observed on May 17 which is marked as a day focused on creating awareness about hypertension and its symptoms. Hypertension or high blood pressure occurs when the blood pressure rises to an unhealthy level of 140/90. It is considered to have touched a dangerous level when the blood pressure measurement goes over 180/120. Over a billion people around the globe live with hypertension which is a major cause of cardiovascular disease and premature death worldwide. While hypertension was usually seen as a health condition found in older people, it has now become quite common in the younger population. High-stress levels, obesity, poor dietary habits, and a sedentary lifestyle are some of the major causes of hypertension. Symptoms of Severe High Blood Pressure.
The welcome speech was given by Dr. M L Dogra, Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan said the current statistics on the rise in suicides and mental health issues has led the Government to take the much required action for drug demand reduction. Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the flagship campaign of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment is an initiative in this stride. The Abhiyaan has been valiantly fighting against the baleful repercussions of substance abuse at the ground level with the support of local administration, master volunteers, online competitions and several events. It has been evident that mental health disorders need to be addressed to build a healthy society that contributes to the national growth and development. Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is an efficacious attempt to fight against substance abuse and raise awareness for healthy lifestyles.
