Suspected terrorist held

Pune, May 24: A 28- years old Junaid Mohammad, who is suspected to be a terrorist was arrested on Tuesday in connection with receiving funding from a Kashmir based terrorist organisation.
He will be produced in Pune court for further remand today, said an ATS officer of Pune.
After receiving a tip off, the ATS carried out a major operation in Dapodi area of Pune and arrested him. He was in regular touch with a terrorist organization in Kashmir.
He is accused of being funded by the ‘Gajwate Al Hind’ militant group in Kashmir.
He came in contact with this organisation through social media, police said.
Junaid is also accused of taking money to work for Lashkar-e-Toiba.
Investigations have revealed that Junaid received money from Jammu and Kashmir.
Junaid, originally from Akola in Maharashtra was in touch with the leaders of Lashkar-e-Toiba in Jammu and Kashmir.
He was under investigation by the anti-terrorism squad since the last eight days.
After his involvement in the case was confirmed, he was arrested today and would be produced in the court this evening, an official added.
