| 03 bovine smugglers arrested, 12 animals Rescued by Police | | | Early Times Report
Samba, May 29: Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators, District Police Samba under the supervision of SSP Samba, Dr.Abhishek Mahajan, IPS successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 12 bovines and arresting 03 bovine smugglers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
Acting on an information received from reliable sources regarding illegal transportation of bovines, a Police party of PS Samba at Naka Nud, Samba intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. JK01AL/4327 for checking.
During checking the vehicle, 12 bovines were found laden inside the said truck which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported without proper permission.
The accused persons namely (1) Shahib Ahmed S/O Nazir Ahmed R/O Wuyan Tehsil Pampore District Pulwama (2) Rafiq Ahmed Tarwa S/O Fazal Din Tarwa R/O Marwah, Kishtwar and (3) Shah Jahan S/O Jahangir R/O Byepass Sidhra, Jammu have been arrested.
In this regard, a case FIR No.129/2022 U/S 188 IPC 11 PCA Act registered and investigation started. All the bovines mentioned in the above case were rescued and shifted to a safer place.
The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized. |
