Jammu, June 6: Principal Government Degree College Kathua felicitated the elite sports persons of the college today in the felicitation ceremony organized by the Department of Physical Education GDC Kathua in the college smart class room. He felicitated the three outstanding players including Mr. Aryan Choudhry Sliver medal, Mr. Tarun Sharma and Mr. Bhopinder Singh both bagged bronze medals in their respective weight categories, in the recently held All India Interuniversity competitions at University of Jammu, Jammu. Worthy Principal was accompanied by the senior faculty members of the college Prof. Raj Kiran, Prof. Jaswinder Singh and Prof. Rakesh Singh Jasrotia HOD Chemistry. Three women athletes were also felicitated by the Principal, who participated in the National Athletic Championship, which was held at Nagaland 26th March to 27th March2022. While addressing to the players, the Principal GDC Kathua praised the students for their achievements for the college under the supervision of their Physical Director Dr J S Soodan. The Principal also enthused the elite players to reach at international level competitions and asked them to train hard on scientific lines in their sports discipline. He has assured them all help and support for the development of Sports in the college. He also interacted with the players who represented the college at National Level and All India Inter University Level. Esteemed Principal Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia congratulated the winners teams of overall trophies in Boxing (M), Kabaddi (M), Judo (M), Wrestling (M) and Runner up teams in Basket Ball (M), Kho-Kho (W), Kho-Kho (M), Volley Ball (M) in different intercollegiate competitions held at University of Jammu, Jammu in the session 2021-22. |
