National Integration, Inclusive Community marks valedictory of summer camp

Jammu, June 6: NSS Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College organized cultural event with the theme National Integration on the valedictory day of ten day long summer camp under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan as a part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. The camp mainly focused on Drug Deaddiction, Plantation, Personality Development, Gender Sensitization, Clean India, Traffic Awareness, Yuva Tourism, Heritage, Beti Bachao Beti Pdao, Say no To Tobacco, Cycle for India, Self defence and Yoga Sessions. The chief guest Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo appreciated the efforts of NSS in arranging different outreach programmes. The youth can only bring the change and own the responsibility to change the society. The guest of honour today were the specially abled students of the college. Taking a step towards inclusive education and appreciating the life and life warriors. They were cheered by NSS clap and the message Let’s build an inclusive community. The program started with Saraswati Vandna by Prerna and lightening of the lamp by Principal, NSS PO, Guest of honor Raghav and NSS volunteers. This was followed by NSS group song by Tushar, Aaghav, Sanchit, Kartik, Isha, Palvinder and Neeru. The skit on the Impact of Social media on Youth was performed by Skit puri prepare hai Sia, Manyaveer, Jatin, Isha, Archita, Vishal, Divyansh, Meehika and Ajinka. Dogri dance was performed by Sonal, Sunandini, Tushar and Sartik. Kashmiri dance by Rimjhim, Vibhuti, Abhilasha, Rohini, Piya, Isha, Jatin and Mohd. Ali. Punjabi group dance by Neeru, Palvinder, Isha Verma, Damandeep, Pulkit and Sanchit. The stage camparing was done by Pallav Singh Pawar and Sia Gupta. The report of the camp was read by Manyaveer Singh Thakur. The solo performance was done by Anchal Singh on pogli dance and Sonal Sharma on dogri dance. The vote of thanks was given by Sanchit and Vibhuti. The documentary video was made by Anchal Singh. The program was supported by NSS volunteers of 6th sem, 4th sem and 2nd sem. NSS PO emphasized that National Integration is the bond and togetherness between people regardless of their caste, creed, religion or gender. It is the feeling of oneness, brotherhood and social unity under communities and society in a country. Such events bring all these different racial religious cultural and linguistic groups together into one single nation with a national consciousness. It aims at removing socio-cultural economic inequality and strengthening unity and solidarity.
