Valedictory cum Certificate Distribution Ceremony of 10 Days Judo Summer Camp held

Jammu, June 6: Judokas believe in the saying made by Frank L. Gaines, “Only He Who Can See The Invisible Can Do The Impossible”, and they have aptly proved this by showing their outstanding performances in a free 10 Days Summer Judo Coaching Camp organized by the University of Jammu in collaboration with Judo Association (J&K) from 28th May 2022 to 6th June 2022.
On a concluding day, Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest and Sh. Vikas Gupta, Vice-President, Judo Association (J&K)as a Special Guest. The NIS Judo Coach, Sh. Rameshwar Singh Jamwal and Dr. Akhilesh Sharma, Liaison Officer, University of Jammu coordinated the entire event.
The Director, Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba and the other guests were warmly welcomed by Dr. Kusam Sharma. Dr. Daud presented certificates to all the Judokas and he also congratulated the two Judokas, Mr. Rajat Chib and Mr. Akshay Sharma who has got trained under the supervision of NIS Judo Coach, Sh. Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, who will be representing J&K in Khelo India Games at Haryana.
Dr. Daud in his address assured that in future too he and his Sports Directorate will lend their full support in organizing such Camps twice a year at the University of Jammu. He motivated the Judokas to work hard with more zeal and commitment, strive for better results in the future, and make a mark for themselves in the history of the Nation. He wished them all the best for their future endeavours and urged them to become good human beings who could convert weakness into strength, obstacles into opportunities and failures into triumphs He also spoke in his speech that this Valedictory cum Certificate Distribution Ceremony indeed proved to be a culmination of hard work, dedication and commitment of Judokas, their Judo Coach, Sports Directorate, University of Jammu, Judo Association (J&K), trainers and the parents in unison.
During the ceremony, one of the Judokas Master Aahil Sharma of B.S.F. Sr. Secondary School, Paloura gave an energetic thanksgiving speech in the honour of the Sports, Director, Dr. Daud and other dignitaries. The entire Gymnasium Hall resonated with the slogans by the participants and the applause by the audience. In this Judo Camp, about 120 Judokas from different schools and districts participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and were trained under the able guidance and supervision of Judo Coach, Sh. Rameshwar. During the entire event, there was a presence of around 200 people including participants, their parents, trainers and the honourable guests at the venue.
