Early Times Report

SAMBA, June 6: While holding the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Govt at the Centre wholly and solely responsible for the killings of innocent people in Kashmir, former Minister Mula Ram and District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural President, Hari Singh Chib have said that Centre has totally failed to ensure security of people belonging to the minority community.
They stated this during their visit to the residence of the teacher late Smt Rajni Bala at Village Nankachak in Samba here today. It is pertinent to mention here that Smt Rajni Bala had fallen victim to the terrorists’ bullets while on duty at Kulgam in Kashmir. They interacted with the family members of the deceased and expressed solidarity with them in this hour of deep crisis. Mula Ram and Hari Singh asked the government to immediately transfer Raj Kumar, the husband of late Smt Rajni Bala to Samba as he (Raj Kumar) is presently working as a Teacher at the Govt Middle School (GMS) for Boys, Mirhame in district Kulgam of Kashmir province.
The senior Congress leaders also demanded full salary of late Rajni Bala as per the rules to her daughter till her marriage and asserted that thereafter pension should be provided to the victim’s family. They also demanded adequate compensation to the family members of the deceased.
They asserted that Rajni Bala achieved martyrdom by serving in hostile conditions amid terrorism in the Valley and in order to honour her supreme sacrifice, the Union Territory Govt should open an Allopathic Health Centre in the memory of Rajni Bala at Samba.
