BJP miserably failed to ensure safety of minorities in J&K: Bimla Luthra
6/6/2022 11:15:24 PM
Early Times Report

RS PURA, June 6: Bimla Luthra, J&K Vice President Women Wing and former MLA, National Conference today lashed out at the BJP Government at the Centre for its failure to ensure the safety of minorities in the Valley.
While addressing a workers meeting in RS Pura, the former MLA held Central Government responsible for the target killings in Srinagar.
“When innocent people are being killed every day, the BJP led Government at the center should resign if it cannot provide security to the people,” Bimla Luthra said and castigated the Central Govt and the UT Administration for being unable to restore peace in Kashmir as a result of which the spree of targeted killings continues unabated today.
The senior NC leader said that the Central Government had made tall claims of restoration of peace and order in the Valley and unprecedented development after abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A but the reality is that the situation has gone from bad to worse post abrogation.
The former MLA said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are suffering on account of wrong policies of the government at the Centre. She said that today the cost of LPG cylinder has crossed Rs 1000 which has made it very difficult for the women to manage the kitchen affairs especially when the prices of all the essential edible items including the vegetables have been sky rocketing regularly. She said that the incumbent government needs to be shown the door before it’s too late.
The senior NC leader women wing Mrs Vijay Laxami Dutta addressing the meeting said that National Conference is the only option left before the people of Jammu and Kashmir as people have bitter experience of Double Engine Government of BJP. She asked people of border town to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah for the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir, she asserted.
Those who were present in the meeting :- Rita Gupta, Bharti Jyoti , Rano, Tilki and others.
