Early Times Report

Jammu, June 6: DOGRI SANSTHA JAMMU, a pioneer organization working for the mother tongue Dogri and cultural heritage of region since 1944 organized Online Kahani Goshthi, in which three prominent litterateurs enamored the literature lovers with their well acclaimed short stories in Dogri.
These include last year’s Sahitya Acdaemy Awardee Raj Rahi, prominent theatre activist and Hindi and Dogri writer Santosh Sangra and eminent broadcaster and short story writer Sudesh\ Raj who is also the recipient of Bal Sahitya Award from Sahitya Academy New Delhi.
All the stories were quite unique and different from each other. Where Sansoh Sangra elaborated the relations through her story ‘GUARANTEE CARD’, Raj Rahi in his own style presented beautiful and thought provoking reactions of own wards during covid19 pandemic in his nicely crafted story ‘LAWARIS LAASH’. Sudesh Raj presented beautiful anecdotes of her husband Late Rajinder Raina, a prominent tabla player in her story ‘GULLI DANDA’.
The program was presided over by Prof. Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha Jammu. In his presidential address he complemented the writers saying that every story tells a lot about our relations and our responses to our own. He said that every writer has his own thought process to build up the plot and introduce characters that carry forward the content therein. Many a times the basic outline is same but the writers use their creative skill in their treatment that gives a boost to plot and connects with the readers in an impressive way which tells the success of penning down different ideas
The program was conducted by Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’, General secretary Dogri Sanstha Jammu. While conducting he appreciated the critical reviews of the litterateurs and literature lovers asking for more and more suggestions and input from their side so that the writers are inspired to write about the contemporary issues with their own innovations. Technical support\ was given by Pawan Verma, Treasurer of Dogri Sanstha Jammu and a well known theatre activist and writer.
The program was watched by thousands on Dogri Sanstha Jammu’s Facebook page within India and abroad as well wherever there are Dogri speaking people who love to watch dogri programs.
