Jammu, June 6: A Plantation programme was organized at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad on the occasion of “World Environment Day 2022” and “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The theme of the World Environment Day held this year is “Only One Earth”, “Living Sustainable in Harmony with Nature” which highlights the fact that it is very important to conserve the limited natural resources of our planet. Various programs were organized at various project locations of NHPC to propagate and spread the message of #Only One Earth.
The plantation programme on the occasion of “World Environment Day 2022” and “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” at NHPC Office Complex, Faridabad was inaugurated on 6th June 2022 by planting of sapling by A.K. Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC. Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), A.K. Srivastava, Chief Vigilance Officer and other senior officers of NHPC also participated in the programme by planting saplings.
During programme saplings of fruit bearing plants like Mango, Pomegranate, Chikoo, Lemon, Guava, etc. were planted. Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is observing AKAM (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav) Iconic Week from 6th to 12th June 2022. During this occasion, 1500 saplings of different species will be planted across all NHPC locations including Corporate Office, Regional Offices, Power Stations and Projects. |
