Launched with much fanfare, industrial policy fails to takeoff: Javed Rana
6/11/2022 10:29:28 PM
Early Times Report
MENDHAR, June 11: The New Industrial Policy 2021 launched by J&K Govt with much fanfare has miserably failed to take off as there is no reminisce of this policy on ground because not even a single unit came into existence in the far off districts. This was said by Javed Rana National Conference Pirpanjal President in a statement issued to media persons here on Saturday. The senior NC leader said that government trumpeted for long during the launch of this policy by claiming that it will prove game changer for the hilly and tough terrain districts of Jammu and Kashmir but the matter of fact is that the aforesaid plethora of offers and rules and SOPs never go beyond the limits of J&K's capital as probable investors in districts like Poonch and Rajouri have forgotten that there was a clarion call from the government to establish industrial hubs in their districts as the banks and concerned department have also started denying to entertain people on the plea of taking incentives over this game-changer policy. Javed Rana said that the announcement of the aforesaid policy seems to be for the audience of BJP leadership to add this in the list of achievements during rhetoric sessions for which Saffron party leaders have the exclusive expertise. He questioned the veracity of the aforesaid policy and said this seems to be in continuity to other Jumlas which the present day regimes in J&K and at the Centre are known for. Expressing anguish and surprise, the senior NC leader said that the banks are outrightly denying to give any support to people under this policy launched with great pomp and show by the J&K Government claiming that they are not aware of the same. "It seems that the New Industrial Policy has been launched in incognito mode otherwise banks would have given a positive response to the people approaching them for the incentives under this policy", he maintained.
