SRINAGAR, June 11: Security forces found a suspicious object suspected to be an improvised explosive device (IED) in Sopore in the morning today, official sources said.
They said the suspicious object was found at Hygam area along the Srinagar-Baramulla highway during a routine road opening drill by the forces. The area was immediately cordoned off and the traffic along the busy highway was suspended.
“The bomb disposal squad has been called and they are on job,” an official said, adding senior security officials are on the spot. |
