| Citizens Forum requests for competent town planners in JMC | | |

JAMMU, June 15: Citizens Forum has requested Dr. Jitendra Singh MOS, LG Manoj Sinha and Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar to save the honest people of Jammu from corrupt and incompetent town planners and members of building permission committee of JMC.
The Forum said that the educated and honest citizens of Jammu demand to know their experience and qualification in showing construction of only one beautiful building worth exhibiting in Jammu, that they are harassing Jammuites in sanction of building permissions. One and a half years lost and hundreds of NOC approved sites are lying on their tables getting being applied with new rules imported from modern large cities like Gurgaon and New Delhi to the old hilly Jammu old city.
Forum President R K Chadha said the JMC committee is used to getting underhand money previously charging Rs. 4 lakh for NOC and 6 lakh for permission of a commercial building.
Chadha said that due to their efforts former Div Com Dr. Raghav Langer in the matter who personally raided revenue department and the cases are treated free of cost but being delayed with one or the other irrelevant rules adopted. |
