Early Times Report

RAMBAN, June 19, 2022: Apni Party Vice President and Former Minister Aijaz Ahmed Khan today demanded timely completion of developmental projects in Ramban district.
Addressing a worker’s meeting at Dalwah in Block Sangaldan, Aijaz Ahmed Khan discussed various issues of public concern with the leaders and workers of Apni Party. The leaders and workers were concerned about the poor developmental activities and health care facilities.
In his speech, Aijaz Ahmed Khan said that the road, potato form to Ramakunda via Narsinga under NABARD sanctioned in year 2018 should be completed in a time bound manner and similarly, the link road which was sanctioned in District Development Board in 2014 is still incomplete and hence, it should be completed in a time bound manner.
He said that the people are still waiting for settlement of cases of damages caused due to railways and they should be settled by the concerned authorities while in majority cases of compensation to the people are pending as payment has not been made.
He referred to the special attention for the development of the tourism sector in Sub Division Gool especially in Tattapani and other areas.
He referred to the TRC building in Gool area which has been completed since long but the building remains unused.
Hence, it must be made functional, he added.
He also suggested constructing VIP tourist spots in the Dagantop area for the promotion of tourism and it must be promoted on the tourism map across the country since the area has huge potential. Referring to the concern of the people, he said that the unscheduled curtailment of electricity and irregular water supply electricity has affected normal life.
He said that the water crises have worsened in various areas due to continuous unscheduled curtailments of electricity.
He also referred to the filling up of the vacant posts in the higher secondary schools in Ramban district as the education of the students in this far flung area has suffered badly.
He said that the unemployment has increased to an unprecedented manner in Jammu and Kashmir and it has affected the youth in Ramban District.
“The price rise of essential commodities, unemployment and non – responsive attitude towards the public issues has given rise to the feeling of alienation from the present form of governance which has failed completely to address issues. However, the issues have doubled,” he added.
