JKTMA Demands Transfer of Teachers by CEO Level

Jammu, June 19: Rakesh Singh State President Jammu Kashmir Teacher/Master Association Pass several resolution with two-third majority to plan future strategy in order to solve various burning issues of Teachers/Masters .
In statement given to media Singh hailed the Principal Secretary B.K Singh for conducting record promotions of all Cadres and now also Lecturers in different disciplines in order to fill vacant posts of Lecturers in far flung areas and also praised him to restrict DPC of those who acquired PG Degrees in science through distance education but Singh appealed to exclude all such candidates from seniorty list on permanent basis and even not give them chance also on basis of Bonafide certificate which they easily procure from such universities by hook and crook.
Singh said that at that time Education minister has brought very big reform by bringing Govt. order 252 -HE as per which no distance Education degree holder in Science will be eligible for promotion except those who enrolled before 2005 irrespective of their Bonafide certificate but later on another minister only to adjust some blue eyed influential teacher/masters has brought 940 order which is totally against the interest of regular degree holders , keeping in view this point Singh strongly appeal to repeal order 940 which is only degrading quality of education in govt schools by promoting such persons who have no command on their subjects and ultimately they are adversely affecting the studies of innocent students.
Singh questioned to authorities that how can a person who burn day and night for two year's regularly in university to acquire PG Science degree which also includes dissertation,projects, practicals, study tours can be equivalent to such distance degrees which are acquired by sitting at home and by giving Exams in private /hired building, without under control of any govt.agency?
Singh also urged to SPD Samagra Shiksha to provide 6000 Rs per camp to provide refreshment to govt. school students who are are attending summer camps this will also increase enrollment of students in such camps . Singh urged Principal secretary to give powers to Chief Education Officers to effect transfers of Teachers as per transfer policy as transfer of teachers at secretariat level is not possible keeping in view large number of teachers and different topographies of different districts. Rakesh Singh demanded to fix seperate quota of SSRB recruited teachers in promotion of Masters as their mode of recruitment is totally different so they can be considered as seperate cadre .
"Biotechnology which is fastest emerging stream due to its future prospects in global market is totally ignored by committees who have given task to introduce new subjects in Higher secondaries, and due to which thousands of students who want to opt biotechnology in HSS are deprived, which is against the spirit of New Education Policy, keeping in view this Association urged the concerned members of committee to introduce biotechnology in atleast 5 HSS of all 20 districts in the interest of students " Singh added. " It is only due to vision and strenuous effort of Principal secretary B.K Singh that SCERT and DIETS are revived with full vigour and strength "Singh added .
