Ganderbal, June 19: Terming Shaheed Sheikh Jabbar as legend of his time senior political leader and his son Sheikh Ishfaq has said that the party will observe the death anniversary of the former minister and MLA here on July 2nd next month.
Addressing a meeting of party workers at his residence here in Lar Ganderbal, Ishfaq said that the party will observe the death anniversary of Sheikh Jabbar at Shaheed Sheikh Jabbar Ground, at Lar Ganderbal.
Speaking on the occasion, Ishfaq termed his father as the "legendary leader of his time". He wanted to make the people of Jammu and Kashmir self-reliant by restoring their dignity," he said.
We are gearing up to ensure impressive presence of people on the death anniversary of my father Shaheed Sheikh Abdul Jabbar, Ishfaq said.
The function was scheduled to be held on 18 April , but due to Ramdhan, it was postponed and now will be held on 2nd July. We are expecting a large number of people that day,” said the leader.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Ishfaq constituted various committees for the programme of July 2, 2022, and stressed upon workers to pay tributes to Sheikh Jabbar. |
