NC provincial president directs party cadre to remain in public 24X7

JAMMU, June 23: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) Provincial President, Rattan Lal Gupta has directed the party cadre to remain in public at the grass roots level and get their issues addressed on priority.
He stated this while addressing a meeting at Block No 2 West Constituency under the party's 'Mass Contact Programme' held here today. The provincial President lamented that it is an irony that despite gigantic water resources, there is serious power and water crisis in Jammu and Kashmir.
While interacting with the people during the meeting, Rattan Lal Gupta took stock of the problems and issues faced by them in this area. The people apprised the senior National Conference leader about multiple issues confronting them. They highlighted the burning problem of water and power crisis that has become a daily routine now. They are also stressed burning problem of unemployment.
After listening patiently to the woes of the people in the aforesaid constituency, Rattan Lal Gupta rued over the unprecedented power and water crisis during the incumbent Union Territory Administration being run at the directions of the Union Govt. He assured the people that he would be taking up this burning issue of power and water crisis with the concerned authorities and get the same resolved at the earliest.
The senior National Conference leader lamented that it is the greatest irony of J&K that despite this Union Territory being blessed with abundant natural resources especially the water resources that have the potential of generating and supplying electricity to the whole nation, the people of this region are craving for power as well as drinking water. He said that on one hand there is a hard crisis of electricity and the other hand being issued hefty and faulty electricity bills despite the power availability being hardly for an hour or two in twenty four hours. He said that the people across Jammu and Kashmir today fully realize that they have been befooled and betrayed by promising the moon and delivering nothing.
Rattan Lal Gupta asserted that such issues confronted by the people completely expose the hollow claims of unprecedented development in Jammu and Kashmir. He made a fervent appeal to the Union Territory Administration to fulfill the basic needs of the general public who are craving even for the essentials of life. He said that the Administration should immediately direct the concerned departments to resolve the power and water issues at the earliest on top priority.
Meanwhile Rattan Lal Gupta asked the National Conference party cadre to remain 24X7 in public and take all possible measures in getting their issues addressed on priority. He also directed the party cadre to conduct meetings on war footing in their respective wards of Jammu West constituency and leave no stone unturned in strengthening the base of the party.

Gurnam Singh Block President Jammu West, Mohinder Kumar Rana, Mohd Shabir Sambyal, Nar Singh, Thakur Rachpal Singh, Puri Ji, Ranjeet Koul, H.L Sabarwal and others.
