Distressed families of Poonch appeal LG for safe & secure shifting | | | Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report
POONCH, June 23: In a democratic system of government, it is the responsibility to provide defence, house/shelter and clothing to the nationalists, but some citizens are deprived for long as they have no safe residential houses. Sources told Early Times that the distressed families in village Fatehpur, Tehsil Mandi of this district have approached Naib Tehsildar, concerned Patwari and others so as to verify the matter so that the families can be shifted to safer place (in a building of a government school). In March this year when the schools got reopened after Covid-19 the families were sent back to their homes. After long dry of about four months as it rained some hanging mountains slide nd hit the fruit trees and the residential house of one Ghulam Nabi son of Ahmed Joo. The distressed families once again have said that they are helpless and their lives are in dangerous and administration has not provided security to them. They have appealed LG, Divisional Commissioner Jammu to help them by giving them safe place against their ownership land. Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inderjeet has assured full cooperation of these families after proper verification. |
