| GDC Bishnah, GCW Parade organize Two Days’ Cultural Exchange Programme | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 23: Govt Degree College Bishnah in collaboration with the GCW Parade organized Two Days’ Cultural Exchange Programme -cum-Workshop to pave way for students explicitly acquaint with Dogra Culture .
The programme was a step-in stone towards the motto to know about the Dogra legacy through this cultural workshop which gives an opportunity to students of both the colleges to explore and revive their roots.
The programme was designed and scheduled into two sessions.
The first session primarily comprised of training and the exhibition of individual talent.
The students were trained by the cultural experts for Dogra dance and folklores and folk dances of Jammu region.On the first day the workshop was inaugurated by the Principal along with the committee members , guest professors from Parade college and the students.
The students were practiced and rehearsed with the folkdances and folklores including the songs of all different regions of the region. During the training the students from both the colleges exchanged their respective flavours of culture.
On the second day the students performed all the dances and songs to give a wonderful culmination to this cultural event which reflects a great effort of both the colleges. The Principal in her address applauded the efforts of the students and convey her gratitude principal Parade college with a hope that such kind of programmes will come up in future.
The participants and the guest enjoyed the sumptuous lunch having Dogri cuisine . |
