Advisor Bhatnagar visits Chandanwari, Nunwan base camps at Pahalgam

PAHALGAM, June 26: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today toured the Pahalgam Axis of Yatra route and reviewed the preparedness and arrangements for the smooth conduct of upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY)-2022 scheduled to commence from 30th of this month.
During the visit to Chandanwari Base Camp, Advisor Bhatnagar conducted on-site inspection of facilities on the route and chaired a review meeting at the base camp to review the security lodging, health care, communication network, sanitation, water supply, emergency response, fire safety and all other basic necessities for the smooth conduct of yatra.
While interacting with the Camp director, officials of police, health and other security agencies at Chandanwari, Advisor Bhatnagar underlined that coordination and synergy between different stakeholders is vital for seamless facilitation of holy devotees. He asked all the stakeholders involved in Yatra Management to ensure that all facilities are fully functional and well maintained. He added that all arrangements in place for seamless facilitation of holy devotees.
Advisor Bhatnagar stressed upon the officers to deploy adequate medical staff and other emergency response personnel all along the track so that any kind of medical exigency or other emergency is taken care off. He also instructed them to deploy all disaster response equipments well in advance along the track as well as at the Base Camp.
At Chandanwari Base Camp, Advisor Bhatnagar also reviewed the medical care facilities of DRDO hospital established for providing quality healthcare services to Shri Amarnath Ji Yatris. He directed the concerned officers to work in mission mode and establish all the required facilities before the onset of yatra. He asked the officers of health department to deploy adequate number of doctors and other paramedical staff to the hospital to cater to the needs of holy devotees.
Earlier, Advisor Bhatnagar also visited Nunwan Base Camp at Pahalgam and took stock of the preparations and arrangements for the ensuing Shri Amarnathji Yatra. The Advisor conducted detailed a tour of the base camp and inspected the facilities including drinking water, healthcare, toilets, sanitation, entry points and langar management, established at the Camp.
The Advisor directed the officers to provide all possible assistance to Holy devotees so that they complete their darshan with ease and comfort.
Meanwhile, Advisor Bhatnagar also visited Sub-District hospital Pahalgam and took stock of medical care facilities available there for the general public.
During the visit, the Advisor took detailed round of the hospital and inspected different sections of the facility. He also interacted with the patients and doctors and enquired from them about the medical care being provided to them.
At the hospital, Advisor Bhatnagar directed the officers of health department to keep adequate facilities available at the hospital in view of the upcoming holy Yatra. He also reviewed the progress of construction of the new hospital building and directed that it should be completed this season.
