Court reject bail plea for defrauding with Bar
6/30/2022 10:26:34 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, June 30: City Judge Jammu Manjeet Rai rejected the bail application of one Ravinder Kumar who defraud with Jammu Bar.
As per the police report, accused has been found involved FIR No. 60/2022 under offences under sections 420, 467, 468, 406, 506, 34 IPCregistered in Police Station, Janipur as per the directions of Ld. Sub-Registrar, Jammu passed under 156 (3) Cr.P.C. Accused after much efforts has been arrested only on 19.06.2022 and is presently in police custody.
The offence has been committed by the accused along with other absconding accused person with prior planning with an eye on their personal wrongful gains totally disregarding the interest of the community and causing wrongful loss/damage to the tune of more than eight lacs as alleged to the members of legal fraternity who were planning a recreational Trip to Goa, now cannot take refuge by projecting his victim card to plead innocence in order to gain empathy from this Court.
City Judge Jammu Manjeet Rai after hearing Adv Koushal Parihar for the application whereas APP Arvind Rathore for the UT, while rejecting the bail application observed that the accused is allegedly involved in the offences under sections406/420/506/467/468/34 IPC and the offences under sections 406/420/467/468 IPC are non-bailable and serious in nature, as such, the accused cannot claim bail as a matter of right. Moreover, it would be premature to comment on the evidence collected till date as the investigation of the case is at its initial stage. The accused/applicant does not deserve any leniency in grant of bail. There is also apprehension that if the accused/applicant released on bail, he will try to win over the prosecution witnesses and tamper with the prosecution evidence. The co-accused is also yet to be arrested. JNF
