Early Times Report

Jammu, June 30: An Executive Engineer in Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation (JKPDC) is misusing his powers and does some works out of his competency. According to the record provided to Early Times, an Executive Engineer deputed an employee from one division to another which is the competency of Chief Engineer. Reportedly, the said executive engineer who was having charge of two divisions i,e Generation Division PDC, Udhampur and Electrical Power Division JKPDC Jammu. According to a record provided to us Chief Engineer vide his official order number CE/Gen/J/76 of 2022 dated 07-03-2022 transferred some employees from Jammu division to Generation Division Udhampur, whereas same Executive Engineer sitting on two chairs first wrote a letter vide number Gen/PDC/U/903 dated 30-03-2022 with the subject "Deputation of Rajindar Kumar (orderly) and reference 'your office letter number EPDJ/PDC/1548 dated 29-03-2022 and unauthorizly depute him to division Jammu where as he from the chair of executive engineer Electric Project Division JKPDC Jammu vide letter number EPDJ/PFLDC/1400-17 dated 10-03-2022 had already relieved the said official from Jammu division. It is pertinent to mention here that "an Executive Engineer without the knowledge of his boss is deputing employees to other divisions without his competency". Is this good governance? Is this Modi's modern India? The inquiry must be initiated into the matter at earliest. Executive Engineer was not available for his official comments in this regard whereas Superintendent Engineer generation didn't attend the call to give any comment into the matter.
