Ganderbal, June 30: DDC Chairperson Ganderbal Nuzhat Ishfaq today visited Lar Ganderbal and joined the devotees who had come to ,participate in the annual Urs at the Ziarat Sharief of Hazrat Shah Sahab Qalander (RAH).
Hundreds of people of all faiths hailing from different parts of the valley had thronged the historical shrine to pay their obeisance.
The DDC Chairperson, after paying obeisance, took part in the special prayers. She prayed for peace, prosperity and development of the UT. She also took stock of the arrangements made by local administration for the annual Urs.
She also interacted with Auqaf members during the visit
ADDC Ganderbal, DDC members and other officers accompanied the DDC Chairperson during the visit.
DDC Chairperson took stock of the arrangements and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the concerned for the Urs .
She was told that hassle free facilities like transport, adequate drinking water, sanitation and un- interrupted power supply are being provided to the devotees.
The devotees apprised the the Chairperson about various issues for improving facilities at the Shrine. She gave them patient hearing and assured that the suggestions put forth by them will be looked into. |
