Randhawa inaugurates langar for Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims

JAMMU, June 30: Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa inaugurated a grand Langar at Railway Station here.
The langar is being organised by Rehri Union of Railway Station Jammu for the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Yatra vis people and tourists, which will continue till the end of the Shri Amarnath Yatra. The pilgrims will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Langar during the yatra period.
While speaking, Former Legislator observed that sacred pilgrimage strengthens our faith in the goodness of mankind and its successful conduct is responsibility of every citizen of J&K.
“Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is a reflection of our composite culture and people belonging to all the faiths are contributing to make it successful”, Randhawa said, adding that the pilgrimage was like a “big festival, a celebration of Kashmiriyat for common man of J&K and each and every citizen of J&K will ensure warm hospitality and comfort of the pilgrims.
“The senior BJP leader appealed to the people for their continuous support and assistance in the conduct of the Yatra, which is pride of Jammu Kashmir and reflection of unity in diversity,” Former Legislator said, adding that Yatra is a vital part of J&K’s economy and livelihood source for a large number of local people.”
The 43-day pilgrimage to the cave shrine started today and will conclude on August 11 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
The annual Amarnath Yatra is being organised after a gap of two years due to the Covid pandemic.
Multi-tier security arrangements have been put in place in and around the base camps, lodging, registration and token centres with the deployment of security personnel in the Jammu city.
