Activation Of Sleeper Cells
6/30/2022 10:54:55 PM

The intelligence agencies have sounded yet another alert i.e. the terrorists are activating sleeper cells in the frontier areas of Jammu region. It’s a cause of concern and needs to be dealt at on priority.
There are reports that terror outfits like Lashkar and Hizb are “conspiring for a spillover of their local cadres into the Jammu region areas falling on the side of Pakistan border through sleeper cells.
There were a few terror related incidents in the past months in Jammu region including the blasts in Udhampur and Rajouri and the investigating the possibility about sleeper cells being involved in these acts.
During the past 30-years of Pakistan sponsored terrorism, nationalist people of Jammu region have never supported the terrorists sent into J&K by the adversary.
They have always stood against them and have foiled their designs. Jammu has been an epitome of communal harmony and has led from the front to accommodate the people who fled Kashmir. Pakistan since 1990 has made many attempts to vitiate peace in Jammu but has not succeeded in its nefarious designs.
The alert sounded by the intelligence agencies just when the Amarnath Yatra has commenced is a warning bell.
The security agencies are on a high alert and are maintaining a tight vigil.
The Centre has already sent 15000 additional security personnel to strengthen the security grid. Elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure the safety and security of the Amarnath pilgrims.
The activation of sleeper cells in frontier areas of Jammu region is yet another desperate attempt of the terrorist handlers sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) to create disturbance in Jammu region.
However, the re-activation of Village Defence Committees will prove helpful in fighting terrorists in the border areas of Jammu region. The time has changed, it’s not 1990 anymore. In 2022, Jammu is well equipped to fight the ultras and foil the evil designs of their handlers.
The security forces have to ensure that the guard is not lowered and the sleeper cells are destroyed even before these get activated.
The security forces are capable of tackling any threat.
