Achieve development targets on time with tangible results on ground: DDC Rajouri

RAJOURI, July 2: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today asked the officers to make dedicated efforts to achieve the developmental deliverables on time with tangible results on the ground.
He was chairing a meeting to review the progress under the developmental deliverables of the departments of Education and Youth services and sports.
Officers who attended the meeting included CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; DYSSO, Sunil Samyal; DSEO, Sandeep Sharma; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi and other concerned officers.
Taking stock of the students trained under Nipun Bharat, the meeting was apprised that against the target of training 27300 students, as many as 2163 students have been trained. DDC asked the concerned officer to complete the training exercise at the earliest.
Regarding the 'My school my pride' initiative, it was informed that the program has been launched in all the targeted fifty schools of the district. While reviewing the progress under Talash, the DDC asked the concerned department to intensify the drive to enroll dropouts and all out of school children in the district.
Taking stock of the vocational courses being carried out in the schools, it was informed that 84 courses are being run in 54 schools of the district.
Regarding the Clean School Green Schools initiative, the meeting was informed that eco clubs have been constituted in the district and students are being made aware of environmental problems and motivated towards cleanliness and sanitation.
Discussing the School sanitation program, the DDC said that the ZEOs shall visit all the schools in their respective jurisdictions and will ensure that all schools of the district have functional drinking water facilities.
Seeking the status of establishment of kindergartens in schools, the meeting was apprised that the process for formulation of DPRs for 100 kindergarten was in progress.
The DDC also asked to submit the calendar of activities on learning management system and digital classes to be carried out as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the district.
Similarly, the DDC also took a detailed stock of the developmental deliverables of the Youth Services and Sports department.
The DDC stressed on inter-departmental convergence and co-ordination to achieve the desired results in various priority areas set by the government within a set timeline.
