Three day Ayurveda Parv kick started at Jammu, J&K

JAMMU, July 2: If mankind needs to survive comfortably-Ayurveda (AYUSH) is the answer said the mayor of Jammu Shri Chander Mohan Gupta who inaugurated the three days Ayurveda Parv at GGM Science College, Jammu. He appreciated the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt.of India's initiative especially the eagerness of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote and support our traditional healing system. The chief guest Prof Bechan Lal, the vice chancellor of cluster university, Jammu reiterated the importance of Ayurveda in our day to day life. Ayurveda should be in our education syllabus. Now days youths are following a disorder lifestyle.
For Fit India, they should adopt Ayurveda & Yoga as he stressed. The Director General, Central Council for Research in Ayurveda Sciences (CCRAS) Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India Prof Rabinarayan Acharya who attended as chief speaker said the ministry is focusing to reach every household through various awareness program. Ayurveda has always been emerged as savior of lives during epidemics and pandemics since the start of civilizations. While highlighting the strengths of Ayurveda, Director Ayush J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh. The Ayush department J&K had reached 40 lac people across the UT of J&K during the time of Covid-19 pandemic which shows how Ayush systems are gaining popularity across Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir has always been a Karmabhoomi of Ayurveda, historical evidences points that many eminent scholars and authors of Ayurveda including Charka and Vagbhatt were related to this part of the world. As part of Himalayan region, Jammu Kashmir is the treasure of many rare species of medicinal plants said special guest Dr M.A Quasmi, the advisor of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt.of India. The other guest of honour who spoke were Prinicipal of GGM Science College, Dr Ravender Tickoo, the Regional Research officer of Regional Ayurveda Institute, Jammu Dr Gopesh Sharma. Manoj Jena, the General Secretary of Vinoba Seva Pratishthan (VSP) and National convenor of Ayurveda Parv presided over the meeting and highlighted the importance of Ayurveda Parv in the context of Jammu & Kashmir State. The other persons who coordinated the programme were national coordinator, Shri Hardayal Khuswaha, Chief coordinator, Vivek Parihar, Abhinandan Sharma and Manv Gupta. A colourful souvenir was released by the guests and also inaugurated the exhibition and health clinics. The Parv was organised by Vinoba Seva Pratisthan (VSP) with financial support from Ministry of AYUSH, Govt.of India in collaboration with Live for Others, Being Helpful Foundation, J&K, Govt. Gandhi Memorial College, Jammu, Bargard and Gandhi Global Foundation, New Delhi. Nearly 12 research papers were presented in afternoon session. At the end cultural performance was performed by different artists.
