JAMMU, July 2: Lauding the endeavours of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Swachh Bharat Mission, BJP Jammu District President Jammu Vinay Gupta said BJP has worked towards fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi's ambition of a Clean India.
Today BJP Jammu District President Vinay Gupta along with Hardeep Singh Mankotia Chairman JMC Swach Bharat committee, Neeraj Lucky Puri Corporator and President Gandhi Nagar Mandal, Cantonment Board Vice Chairman and Mandal President Bharat Bhushan, Corporator Surjeet Singh Papu Choudhary, Corporator Rahul Kumar distributed dustbins among the locals, shop keepers and others under "Swachh Bharat Mission" for collecting dry/wet garbage on daily basis. Vinay along with BJP leaders conducted an extensive tour of adjoining areas and met with the denizens as well as shopkeepers at Railway Station Jammu.
In the meantime residents, as well as shopkeepers, were briefed on the grievances being faced by them related to sanitation, street lights etc. Vinay patiently heeded their genuine desires and assured to solve the problems at the earliest. He said JMC is dedicated to delivering better civic as well as development amenities to the population of Jammu in all the wards of the city and appealed to the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in all the initiatives taken for the betterment of the City so that Jammu can be made a Smart City. Moreover, the Shopkeepers association and citizens of the area extended compliments to the Vinay along with Councillors & BJP leaders for visiting their areas and listening to their matters and also guaranteed that they will provide full cooperation to the JMC staff in maintaining their market and adjoining areas neat, clean and green.
President Railways Station Taxi Union Davinder Choudhry, Sanjay Kumar, Narinder Koki, Nayan Gupta, Sandeep Gupta, Rachit Khosla and other Prominent were present on the occasion.
