Early Times Report

Sunderbani, July 2: Former MLC and Chief spokesperson JKPCC Ravinder Sharma has said Sunderbani area has remained victim of neglect and discrimination and deprived of its due political status.
Criticising the government for depriving Sunderbani Additional district area in the proposed creation of new R &B divisions, he demanded R&B division HQ for sunderbani, failing which it shall be forcefully agitated, stated a memorandum submitted to the Government.
Addressing a series of meetings in different villages during week long tour of Sunderbani -Kalakote assembly constituency, Mr Sharma regretted that Sunderbani has remained victim of neglect, discrimination and conspiracy and is at the receiving end in every sphere due to lack of due political status and empowerment.
He said Sunderbani has been deprived of it's due place in the matter of equitable development and political empowerment in the past too, especially in the creation of new assembly constituencies in the recent delimitation.
All major projects initiated by the previous government due to efforts of Congress have been languishing so far or abandoned during past eight years. The vital projects like upgraded Sub District hospital , Degree college, Beripattan lift irrigation project, industrial estate, sports stadium initiated by Congress prior to 2014,are all incomplete exposing the hollow claims of ruling dispensation.
The people are aghast over the conspiracy to deprive sunderbani it's due place in the political, economic and develop canvas especially denial of assembly Constituency in the recent delimitation. The present ruling party deprived the people of their long drawn struggle for due political status and empowerment.
The senior leader strongly criticized the denial of seperate R&B division with HQ at Sunderbani in the newly proposed creation of divisions whereby the vast area of Sunderbani is being bifurcated. The people of Sunderbani additional district strongly opposed the move and submitted a memorandum to the government to create separate division for sunderbani.
The Congress leader also demanded separate division of Jal Shakti department in Sunderbani .
Mr Sharma visited Bakhar, Balshama, Channi, Devak, Bandrai, Patrara, Kangri, Bhalwal, Thichka, Mudwal and Thanda pani areas and was accompanied by the Block President's and senior leaders of the area.
