PDP demands probe into BJP leaders' role in militancy acts in Jammu
7/5/2022 11:20:51 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 5: After exposure of the nexus between a dreaded militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) Talib Hussain and the top leadership of BJP, the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday demanded the registration of an FIR against the self-proclaimed but pseudo nationalist leaders of the BJP who were shamelessly giving shelter to the arrested militant.
Involved in many militancy incidents including bomb blasts in Rajouri and Udhampur, the arrested militant was heading the IT cell of the Minority Morcha of BJP.
Alleging that BJP is clandestinely taking the "services" of dreaded militants to pursue its divisive agenda to create fear among people, the PDP demanded a high-level probe to ascertain the role of top BJP leaders in the recent militancy incident in Jammu province.
"It is all due to patronage of top BJP leaders that Talab Hussain managed to gain entry along with other top leaders of BJP to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah", PDP general secretary Amreek Singh Reen said while addressing a protest organized by the party against the BJP-militants nexus.
A large number of PDP workers led by Amreek Singh Reen attended the protest held at Gandhi Nagar after the startling disclosure of the BJP-militants nexus in Jammu province.
PDP workers shouted slogans against BJP and demanded the registration of FIRs against all those BJP leaders whose pictures have surfaced with arrested LeT militant Talib Hussain.
"How such a dreaded militant gained entry along with BJP leaders to meet Home Minister Amit Shah", asked Amreek Singh Reen and added that the arrested militant was appointed as IT cell head of the Minority Morcha of BJP because he was working in the party for the last six-seven years.
Observing that nefarious designs of the BJP have been exposed after the arrest of Talib Hussain, PDP leaders demanded that thorough interrogation of all senior BJP leaders of J&K to expose their nexus with militants active in different parts of J&K in general and Jammu province in particular.
Displaying pictures of a dreaded terrorist with the top leadership of BJP including J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina, Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma including the Home Minister of the country, PDP leaders mentioned that BJP is patronizing such anti-national elements and utilizing their services to defame other political parties.
Lambasting BJP for giving shelter to dreaded militant and allowing him to attend an important meeting of the ruling party including with the Home Minister, PDP leaders said BJP has become the biggest security threat to the people of the Jammu region.
"It is a serious security breach and failure of intelligence agencies, which needs high-level probe and action", PDP leaders said.
Besides Amreek Singh Reen, Dr Ramesh Slathai, additional general secretary, Bhushan Dogra, Sukhvinder Singh, treasurer, Satpal Charak, E Peter, Varinder Singh Sonu, Sohit Sharma, Naveen Sharma, Chattar Saini, Kuldeep Sharma, Harmeet Singh, Darshan Magotra, Babloo Sharma, Sunil Bhat, Vimal Sharma, Sunil Pangotra, Balbir Singh, Rajat Gupta, Dalip, Sachin Bhagat, Ashok Singh Chib, Deep Singh Lucky, Abheer Charak and others addressed the protest.
