Srinagar, July 5: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s masterstroke of abrogating the so-called special status of Jammu and Kashmir has brought such a big change in Kashmir that a former terrorists nowadays spends his time to greet the devotees of Shri Amarnath Ji Cave Shrine. Saif Ullah Farooq who was associated with the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front led by Muhammad Yasin Malik had subsequently surrendered saying that the JKLF was minting fortunes at the cost of death and destruction in J&K. He is now a “changed man working for the cause of national integration.” “My name is Sami Ullah Farooq. I am a former terrorist and I greet you for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. And I wish you safe and happy Yatra,” Farooq says while offering red roses to the Yatris who arrive in Kashmir for the pilgrimage. Many of the yatris have been so impressed with his change of mindset that they take selfies with him and reciprocate with best wishes to him. Farooq is among the people, who after the abrogation of the so-called special status of Jammu and Kashmir, speak their heart out. Farooq told the Early Times that the Modi government deserves all appreciation for having brought the “perceptible change in Kashmir.” Referring to the historic decision taken on August 5, 2019, Farooq said till a few years ago the people of Kashmir were scared to speak their heart out for their love for India but that now the full integration has come true. Many of the devotes attributed the change of situation in Kashmir to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. “Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai is now a reality even for the improvement of situation in Kashmir,” hailed a Yatri while leaving for the cave shrine. |
