Jammu, July 7: Plantation drive held at YCET,Jammu In a massive plantation programme, taken up by the Civil engineering wing of the College, as many as 100 saplings were planted in the premises By chairman (Jgei),Dean academics ,Chief Coordinator, Head’s of various Departments, Faculty of Civil Engineering Department and students . Speaking on the occasion, Er Rajnish Magotra,HOD,Civil Engineering said that in order to provide a better environment for the future generations, saplings should be planted wherever possible, adding that care must be taken to ensure that saplings survive and grow into big trees. “We must have unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our mother nature,” he stated, quoting that greenery and cleanliness would lead to better health and would make the environment pollution-free. While encouraging the students to generate awareness on how to safeguard nature for future generations, highlighted the importance of plantation of trees and asserted that instilling in them good habits could secure a better place to live in. He also extended his gratitude to the participating students, faculty for making the event successful.Er.Vidhi.S.Jamwal,Chairman(JGEI),Th.Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal,Vice- Chairman (JGEI) ,Er.Renu Bangroo,MD(JGEI) appreciated the kind efforts for saving Mother Earth and keeping the planet earth worth living place. Er. Dinesh Gupta Dean (Academics) (ycet), appreciated the efforts of Civil Engg department for organizing such Event which was highly fruitful and successful. They planted various species of plants liken Neem, Ashwagandha, Areca palm ,Coleus, saga palm, bottle palm etc. During the drive following officials also planted saplings Er B R Verma ,chief coordinator ,faculty members, heads of other branches, Er Neeraj Pandita, Hod(Mech Engg),Er.Loveneesh Talwar,Hod(Electrical Engg) Er.Robin Kumar.,Hod(CSE) The Event was concluded with vote of thanks by Er Er.Shivam Sharma,.,Assistant Professor. The whole event was coordinated by Er.Mukesh Jamwal and Er.Nipun Bhardwaj.
