Cancellation of JKP SI recruitment is ‘Modi-Shah effect’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 8: Even as the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on July 8 cancelled the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Sub Inspector recruitment, and also sought a CBI probe into the case, the Modi government at the center had taken serious note of the allegations. Taking to Twitter, the office of the LG said: "JKP Sub-Inspector recruitment has been cancelled & a CBI probe has been recommended into selection process. Culprits will be brought to justice soon. It's a first big step towards securing future of our youth & govt will soon decide future course of action for fresh recruitment.” The aspirants had taken to the streets accusing the administration of “fraud and unfair” recruitment process. Sources said the Prime Minister’s Office in the New Delhi as also the office of the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah had taken a serious note of the allegations and had asked the Raj Bhawan to opt for a fair probe. Sources said it was only on the instructions of the Union Home Ministry that the probe committee headed by JK’s Home Secretary was directed to file a report. Sources said as the report was filed and it reached the national capital offices, the central government at once asked the LG to cancel the selection process. In June, the JK administration had announced a time-bound probe by a committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, R K Goyal, into the allegations of fraud into the JKSSB SI Result 2022, declared online on June 4. Goyal had submitted his report before the Raj Bhawan a few days ago and a copy was sent to the New Delhi as well. The Modi government has envisioned a Naya Jammu and Kashmir where there is no scope for corruption or the corrupt. “Cancellation of the recruitment and order for CBI probe is another step towards Naya Jammu and Kashmir,” said senior official at the Civil Secretariat on the condition of anonymity. |
