MEF expresses gratitude to LG for notifying non-gazetted recruitment rules

JAMMU, July 15: Medical Employees Federation (MEF) Jammu organized a press conference in which MEF President Sushil Sudan conveyed gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary A K Mehta, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture Production Department) Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance ) Vivek Bhardwaj, Principal Secretary of Health & Medical Education Manoj K Dwivedi, Director General Family Welfare, MCH, and Immunization Dr. Saleem ur Rehman and others for revising and notifying the non-gazetted recruitment rules of the subordinate services of the J&K Health & Family Welfare.
Sudan said that Dr. Saleem has assured to conduct the DPC on 1-8-2022. The commitment has also been made by Principal Secretary Health & Medical Education. Sudan also conveyed thanked to all health employees, print media, bar council, Sham Lal Sharma ex-minister, social organizations, employees organization of medical education who supported health employees during struggle.
It is pertinent to mention here that the J&K Health & Medical Education (Subordinate) service rules 1992 were notified last vide SRO-20 of 1992 on 24-2-1992 and have now been revised after 30 years (SO-334 dated 13-7-2022) which removed long standing stagnation of all cadres in the department. The promotion avenues for those categories of posts that have no promotion have also been incorporated in the revised rules (SO -334 of 2022).
It is expected that about 3,000 to 5,000 health employees would get benefits of promotion through SO-334 and 4,000 to 5,000 new para-medical students appointed in fresh vacant posts in health institutions of J&K. After issuing SO -334 all vacant posts of health institutions will be filled and public get benefits. If any anomalies are found in SO-334the same shall be rectified by the department as assured by Dr. Saleem.
