Civil defence organizes one day awareness camps in border area

JAMMU, July 15: One Day Awareness programme was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu at village Hamirpur Kona Tehsil Pragwal. It was the second day when the Civil Defence Team under the supervision of Dy. SP. Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Jammu conducted awareness programme at Border area of district Jammu. On 14th July 2022, awareness programme were organized at Village Kalyan Pur (Kana Chak) and Village Gajansoo falling in the border area of Jammu District. Awareness about the basic knowledge of causality evacuation (zig zag movement) lifting and moving an injured person, how to escape from enemy's fire, tactical movement. In the awareness program large number of the Civilians of the border area participated. During the programme demonstration on the above said topics were also presented by the Civil Defence team. This is going to create awareness among the people to face any untoward situation.
During the awareness programme on the directions of Commandant General VHG, CD & SDRF, J&K, 03 Civil Defence Border Committees comprising of 21 members for each committee for above mentioned border villages were nominated. The committee members were briefed by the Dy. Controller CD, Jammu about functioning and responsibilities in their respective border areas during any emergency/eventuality.
Besides other participants Sh. Vijay Sharma BDO, Marh, Sh. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden CD, Jammu, Sh. Vijay Magotra Dy. Chief Warden CD, Jammu and Sarpanches of border villages are also present during awareness programme. Residents of the border area very much appreciated the awareness programme, organized by the Civil Defence, Jammu.
