Shiv Sena expresses concern over drug abuse, unemployment
7/16/2022 10:54:48 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 16: The Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit raised concern over the increasing inclination towards single-mindedness, drug abuse and crime of the youth frustrated by the rising unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir. Due to rising unemployment, Jammu and Kashmir has reached number one in the above matters as compared to other states of the country.
In this context, Shiv Sainiks led by Manish Sahni, President Shiv Sena J&K unit assembled near Press Club of Jammu and staged strong protest, demanding employment for the youth of J&K.
Talking to reporters, Sahni said that youth desperate due to rising unemployment are trapped in the clutches of drug abuse, crime and anti-national activities, which is a matter of great concern.
Citing reports of Home Ministry, he said in the last 4 years more than 700 youth have joined the path of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
He further said that the data released by the Ministry of Demography and Program Implementation of the Central Government, in 2019, 26.1 percent of the youth in Jammu and Kashmir were bachelors , which has put us on the first place.
Sahni said that the root cause of this is rising unemployment due to which the frustration increasing among the youth is forcing them to remain single despite being eligible for marriage.
He said that the terrorist organizations of Pakistan are also taking advantage of the rising unemployment.
He said that it is very unfortunate that the state of Jammu and Kashmir, which was called the crown of the country and paradise on earth , has reached the verge of ruin today.
Sahni said that the notifications issued in last few years by almost all the departments regarding recruitment are hanging or have been cancelled. At the same time, many recruitments have become a victim of increasing corruption. Sahni asked the Central Government to take adequate steps fin addressing the rising employment in the Jammu and Kashmir.
On this occasion President Women Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, President Kamghar Wing Raj Singh, President Youth Wing Binny Mahajan, Sanghatak Balvir Singh, Secretary Geeta Lakhotra, Praveen Gupta, joint-Secretary Jyoti Devi, Secretary Youth Wing Rajesh Handa, Mangu Ra, Pawan, Sagar Sharma, Ramesh, Naresh Kumar and many others were present.
