| Interactive Lecture on 'Protecting Digital Footprint' organised at GDC Marh | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 16: Department of Computer Applications and Cyber Jagrookta Cell, GDC Marh organized an interactive lecture on 'Protecting Digital Footprint'.The programme was held under the able leadership of Principal Prof. Aekta Gupta. She stressed that as the digital world becomes increasingly connected, many cyber attacks are opportunistic with hackers spotting vulnerabilities in a computer system's defences and exploiting them; one should be one more careful about sharing information and data.
Dr. Neha Jain, Asstt.Prof. GDC RSPura, Resource person of today's programme briefed the students about the main aspect of digital footprint that cyber-criminals and scammers exploit. Everyone should use a password manager to generate and remember different, complex passwords for every account - this is the most important thing people can do to protect their privacy and security today. A number of students from different semesters participated in this lecture. |
