Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 16: On the auspicious occasion of Shravan Sankranti marking centenary festival of Dr. Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak, a scholar of Devvani Sanskrit, Shriraja Mandlik Ji Dev Sthan Development Trust inaugurated the new premises of the Gaushala run by the former minister Sham Lal Sharma, Deputy President of BJP Jammu & Kashmir.
On this occasion, Sharma said that for a long time there was a demand for Gaushala in Patoli Brahmana, which was fulfilled today. He said serving the mother cow is a holy act and that the people of the society should come forward for this work. A person who does cow service becomes a partner of virtue. Purity of mind, speech, deed and body is possible only by serving one cow. A person can protect his entire family by serving the cow the protection of the entire creation is possible only by the protection of Gaumata, he said.
Uttam said that cows are a part of our civilization. None of our sanskars can be complete without cow. Then how can we separate it from ourselves? Today is the time for mechanization. This has reduced the use of cattle. That is why people are throwing them out of their homes, he said.
On this occasion, Mahant Rohit Shastri, head of Srikailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust said that according to scriptures, cows are the form of Vishnu, cows are Sarva Vedamayi and Vedas are Gaumayi. Lord Krishna got all the knowledge base from Gocharan. There are some animals and birds which are at the last stage of the soul's development journey. Cow is also one of them. After this that soul has to come into the human vagina. By rescuing the cow going to the slaughter house and making arrangements for its upbringing, a person gets the fruit of cow sacrifice.
Raj Kumar Langar, head of Gaushala Jammu said that the service of cow is the greatest virtue for human beings. No one should be deprived of this virtue. In this life everyone should worship the Lord. 33 categories of deities reside in the cow. This means 33 types of deities reside in the cow.
