Gandli residents listen to LG Sinha’s 'Awam Ki Awaaz'

RS PURA, July 17: People of Panchayat Gandli in RS Pura today listened to the 16th episode of 'Awam Ki Awaaz' addressed by the Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha.
In this context, a programme was organized by Sarpanch Panchayat Gandli and General Secretary of All J&K Panchayat Conference, S Gurdeep Singh Saini in which a large number of people of the Panchayat including other representatives of the Panchayat were present.
On the occasion, Gurdeep Singh said that the radio program of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has been heard at the Panchayat level as well. He praised Lt Governor Manoj Sinha's program 'Awam ki Awaaz' and said that LG Sinha has talked about strengthening public participation on the ground surface in this program and setting the answer transparent and inclusive.
Gurdeep Singh said that through this programme LG Sinha has reached every home. He said that since television connection is still not available everywhere in J&K UT, especially in the isolated, rural and less developed regions, radio was chosen to be the medium for the programme, owing to its wider reach.
The Sarpanch said that organizing such programs generates enthusiasm among the Panchayat representatives and helps in conveying the thoughts of the Lieutenant Governor to the Panchayat level. He said that there was a lot of enthusiasm among the people of Panchayat regarding this radio program and they listened to this program very seriously. He said that by organizing such programs, coordination is created between the government and the common people and the words of the Lieutenant Governor should be implemented.
During this program, Naib Sarpanch Pyarelal, Panch Satya Devi, Panch Gurdial Singh, Panch Pawan Singh, Panch Somnath, Panch Anju Bala, Panch Praveen Sharma, Harjinder Singh, Darshan Singh and others were present during the program.
