Package employees to continue their strike | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 17: The PM package employees held an impressive protest today in the premises of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants Office Canal Road Jammu for seeking their relocation/attachment with the Relief Commissioner Office till the conducive and normal situation returns back in Kashmir. A large number of the agitating package employees have assembled in RC Office, Jammu under the banner of All Migrants (Displaced) Employees Association Kashmir and continued their peaceful protest for the 65th day seeking immediate relocation outside Valley. The leaders of the protesting Package employees have unequivocally stated that they cannot live and perform their duties across Kashmir valley till the situation limps back to normal. The irate PM package employees are only demanding their relocation to Jammu division and they have categorically stated that they are unable to work in Kashmir as the situation is not feasible and conducive for their living and working across Kashmir. The prominent leaders of the protesting package employees have also emphasized that their only and genuine demand is relocation to Jammu division till normalcy is restored in Kashmir and they have resolved to continue their peaceful strike till the only demand of their relocation is settled. The protesting employees have also stated that the LG administration and the centre BJP government is paying deaf ear towards the genuine and only demand of their relocation and they have stressed upon the government to accept their demand of relocation to Jammu division for the time being till the situation becomes normal in Kashmir. |
