Mayor, councillor kick start development works in Sainik Colony

JAMMU, July 22: Continuing his endeavour to provide more development & civic amenities for citizens of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor alongwith Gurmeet Kour Randhawa Councillor of ward no. 69 today kick started the work of laying of cemented slab of community Hall within the premises of Shiv Mandir situated at Sector-G Sainik Colony of ward no. 69.
Narinder Singh Jamwal Councillor of ward no. 70, Karan Singh Jamwal President of Shiv Mandir Management Committee alongwith other representatives, Cap Bunty Singh, Captain Pyara Singh, Kulwant Jasrotia, Inderjeet Kour, Radha Kumari, Asha Devi & other prominent inhabitants of Sainik Colony area as well as Rajan Mengi Assistant Executive Engineer, Khalid Hussain Junior Engineer alongwith other supervisory staff works division IV & Health wing were also accompanied the Mayor during the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that it was the long pending demands of the Mandir committee as well as locals as they were facing much hardships especially during hot & rainy season to organise religious/ community functions and in order to fulfil their demands, local councillor Gurmeet Ji has taken a great initiatives & this development work has been started today with an allotted amount of Rs 50 lakh only.
He also directed the concerned Engineering wing & contractor to complete the work within stipulated time frame by applying best quality & durable construction material So that residents can take full benefit of this community Hall in near future. Mandir management committee members extended gratitude to the Hon'ble Mayor & Gurmeet Kour Randhawa for visiting the ward & fulfilling their much awaited demands.
Mayor also appeal to the general public to come forward & cooperate with JMC & other allied agencies in all the development activities being undertaken in various wards of the city so that Jammu can be made really a neat, clean & green city.
