K2 conspiracy' exposed: Canada terror angle emerges in Jammu money laundering case
7/27/2022 11:30:41 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 27: Even as the State Investigation Agency (SIA) has taken over the case linked to alleged "hawala terror funding" registered by police in Jammu earlier this year, a foreign angle of Canada has surfaced with security experts calling it part of larger "K2 conspiracy against India".
Sources said the SIA has found that "a man based in Canada was among the hawala operators" linked to the case registered vide FIR No. 73/2022 under Sections U/S 13, 17, 18 UA(P) Act, 1967 in March at the Gandhi Nagar Police Station in the winter capital here.
Sources said the SIA is in constant touch with the Jammu police over the issue whereas the "legal options to trap the foreign hands into the case are being discussed at the highest quarters."
Sources said the SIA has inputs that "the man who is believed to be hiding in Canada was part of a larger terror network against India." Sources said till now many of the persons detained in connection with the case have revealed about the role of the "Canada man."
Sources said the SIA is probing the channels through which money was coming into Jammu and Kashmir from places like Canada.
A senior official said: "The development suggests that anti India conspiracies be it that of Kashmir or Khalistan were linked to foreign funding from places like Canada."
"Basically this all is part of the K2 conspiracy where one 'K' stands for Kashmir and the second 'K' stands for Khalistan and this sinister design has been prepared by Pakistan through places like Canada, which provides breeding ground for both ideologies," said a prominent security analyst while talking to the Early Times on the condition of anonymity.
Recently the SIA had done raids in north Kashmir areas also in connection with the case.
The sources said the SIA would soon take the case to its logical conclusion as some of the "finest experts are working on the case."
"Nobody working against the interests of our nation will be spared and the case will definitely reach the logical conclusion to make our country even stronger," said a source.
