Pak engaging gangsters, drug addicts
7/28/2022 10:36:02 PM
Terror groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir engaging notorious gangsters from Punjab to manage funds and arms in the Union Territory is a desperate attempt by the terrorist bosses to keep the pot boiling.
According to the media reports the involvement of gangsters from Punjab in J&K came to fore after Punjab Police launched a massive crackdown against the gangsters in Punjab. The whip was cracked on the gangsters after the
gruesome killing of world-famous Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, famous as Sidhu Moosewala.
The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of J&K too has exposed nexus between criminals and terrorists.
In a chargesheet filed by the SIA in a terror funding case, it named five accused including a Pakistan-based self-styled commander of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit and three gangsters of Punjab.
The chargesheet was filed before the National Investigation Agency's (NIA) special court in Jammu under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Arms Act, and Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The investigations carried out by the Punjab Police and the SIA have established a clear connection between gangsters in Punjab and terrorists operating in J&K. It’s a clear indication that terror bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) are in no mood to relent. They are making every possible attempt to spread terror and create uncertainty in J&K.
After the abrogation of Article 370, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has changed for the good. The terror eco system in Kashmir has been dismantled and terrorist supporters have been shown their place. The security agencies have acted tough against the people who were into the business of creating uncertainty and chaos in the Valley.
Besides sending arms, the terror bosses are pushing in drugs in J&K and Punjab and are making every attempt to turn Kashmiri youth into drug addicts who can act as their tools and carry out the acts of terrorism. However, the security forces have been foiling their designs. The robust counter infiltration grid in place on the borders and along the Line of Control is not letting the intruders sneak in. Anyone who tries to enter into this side is neutralized in the hinterland itself. To keep terrorism alive now Pakistan is seeking the help of gangsters, criminals and drug addicts.
