DGPC announces hike in Salary of employees

JAMMU, July 30: Today while addressing the press Conference S Ranjeet Singh, President DGPC, along with S Balvinder Singh V President, S Surjit Singh Gen Secretary, S Jagpal Singh treasurer, S Ranvir Singh Joint Secretary, S Gurmeet Singfh & S Harjit Singh( both Incharge Dharam Parchar Committee DGPC) stated that almost all the contesting candidates of DGPC elections made some promises with the Sangat like : celebration of Gurpurabs of all Sikh Gurus as per Mool Nanak Shahi Calender, enhancement of the salary of all employees of DGPC Jammu, to give medical insurance cover to employees and their family members and to take care of their better accommodation, to bring transparency in revenue and expenditure of all gurudwara under DGPC and put annual audit report on the website of DGPC. Many other promises have also been made but DGPC is of the view that a common minimum programme shall be formulated by taking all the stake holders on board.
Besides implementation of most desired demand of the Sikh Sangat and promise made by the DGPC have already been initiated as in the first instance Gurpurab of Sixth Guru Hargobind Sahib has been celebrated as Nanak Shahi Calender.
Now the second most common promise made by all most all members was the enhancement of the salary of the DGPC employees. Today the DGPC has announced the much required enhancement of salary of all the employees which shall be with 10% hike on the present basic pay and 7.5% D.A shall be paid on the enhanced Basic Salary with effect from Ist of July 2022. DGPC have also decided to enhance 7.5% D.A from 1st of July every year.
The DGPC also decided to bring all the employees of DGPC under Centre Government's Insurance Policy (ESIC) so that in case of any mis-happening or any serious illness they need not to ask for donations from the Sikh Sangat.
DGPC further stated that every efforts shall be made to give them social security as per the availability of budget. In this connection S Balvinder Singh V President and S Surjit Singh Secretary while addressing the media persons requested the Sikh Sangat to cooperate with the newly constituted DGPC so that they can bring reforms as per the aspirations of the Sikh Sangat. They further stated that to bring transparency in the accounts of DGPC the steps have already been initiated and very soon DGPC Jammu will have its own website.
Other prominent persons who were present there are S Surinder Singh Wazir, S Somnath Singh, S Sharanjit Singh, S Satinderpal Singh, S Manjeet Singh, S Kulwant Singh, S Parfulat Singh, S Ajit Singh, S Ram Singh, S Onkar Singh R S Pura, S. Davinder Pal Singh, S Amarjit Singh & S Tarlochan Singh from Akaal Purakh Ki Fouj Simbal Camp.
