NYK organizes Swachhta Pakhwada

JAMMU, Aug 1: Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu is going to organized Swatchhta Pakhwada from 1 Aug to 15 Aug 2022 in Jammu district. In connection to this swatchhta pakhwada has been observed on 1st August,2022 at office premises of Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu. The aim of the programmes is to raise awareness about swatchhta and facilitate celebration of pakhwada across the country as part of National Programme. The main objective of swatchhta pakwada is to make youth aware of cleanliness, sanitation, elimination of manual scavenging and importance of maintenance of ODF+ status through voluntary efforts throughout the year. To conduct intensive cleaning activities under the Clean India Campaign focusing on Single Use Plastics. To observe Swachchta Pakhwada for imbibing sense of civic duty among youth and public and engage them in Swachchta activities with voluntary spirit. To promote a culture of cleanliness and hygiene in the society through youth.
On the eve of Swachhta Pakwada Nissar Ahmed Butt, State Director, NYKS held the Webinar meeting with the National Youth Volunteers, and inform them about the objectives of Swatchhta Pakwada. He awared the youth about the role for undertaking cleanliness & hygiene campaign. Later Sh. Nisar Ahmed Butt, State Director, NYKS, Smt. Bimlesh kaur, APA NYKS State Office Jammu, office staff and all volunteers of NYK Jammu has been involved in the pledge taking ceremony of swatchhta pakhwada through webinar. The pledge was taken in Hindi language to promote Hindi raj bhasha
